The Geneva Motor Show is still underway over in Europe and while we’re sure almost all of our readers would love to be there we’re doing the best we can to bring you a little closer to the action. Here is the first installment of over 250 pictures from the show, from Alfa Romeo to Lamborghini, which includes some of the great and not so great models on display.

A failure to meet expected sales in China has forced niche sportscar maker Gumpert to apply for provisional insolvency. Administrator Görge Scheid expects Gumpert can forge ahead and achieve a sustainable future for its 30 employees.
Gumpert achieved recognition for its Audi parts bin special when the Apollo Speed set a blistering lap time on the Nürburgring of just 7 minutes 11 seconds back in 2009.
An official company statement reads: “The super sports car “apolloâ€, developed by Gumpert is technically mature and holds superior performance figures compared to all other cars. Now it’s essential to reactivate the European market, which has been neglected over the past years.â€
You can read the statement in full after the break.

Beautiful ugly
This is the Gumpert Apollo Speed. Pretty ugly isn’t it. But, now, it has a beautiful set of numbers alongside it. And not just courtesy of the 700bhp twin turbocharged engine, either. You see, last week 26 year old Florian Gruber took the Apollo Speed around the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife in just 7 minutes 11.57 seconds.
