A new round of industry testing is currently underway at the Nürburgring. Bridge to Gantry was on hand to film some of the action and of most note are a couple of clips if BMW’s new F80 M3 prototype. Previously we’d had some concerns over the sound from the inline six cylinder engine, but it seems BMW has been doing some exhaust tuning and we like what we hear.

F30 sounding better, but the E90 M3 is way ahead!

Totally agree, love the v8, so I ordered an e92 before they go end of production.
That first test car was definitely still the v8. How unusual. 0:48 is where the new M3/t6 comes in.
