Thanks to AUSmotive reader Brendan for sending in these pics of a new five-door Volkswagen Polo GTI, spotted near Maroubra beach in Sydney. It seems almost certain now that the Pogo will be joining the Golf GTI adidas on the Volkswagen stand at the Australian International Motor Show next month.
The sighting follows news of the basic specification levels and options for the Polo GTI, which have been circulating for a couple of weeks now. Volkswagen dealers are, at this stage, keeping pricing information very close to their chest.

yea terrible colour. Really really hoping for 3 door here too but haven’t read much to make me feel positive about that happening.
I don’t mind the colour, looks similar to Skoda’s Storm Blue. I think in the sun it would be a lot better.

Oh, I’d say the colour is Shadow Blue Metallic which was available when the Mk5 GTI was first launched. It looks much better in person IMO.

Brownie points for folding the mirror in haha! Great little car though; looks great! It’d be interesting to drive all in that class too. Colt Ralliart, Seift Sport, 207 GTI, Fabis RS and the new XR4!
@WAY the first 5 door Polo GTI was launched in Europe with the Polo (3rd gen) 6N series.
Also missing the LED driving lights. Weird.
Bi-Xenon with LED lights are an optional extra.
