Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale ready for Paris

Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale

Maserati will be showing off a new model at the Paris Motor Show—the GranTurismo MC Stradale. Details are pretty light on, but Maserati have stated the car will have 336kW (450bhp). That will make it the most powerful car in their current line up. Unsurprisingly, the GranTurismo will be the fastest new Maserati money can buy, and the lightest, as well.

The GranTurismo goes on sale in Europe in early 2011 and will launch in Australia towards the end of next year.

The new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale to debut at Paris Auto Show

Maserati will launch its fastest, lightest and most powerful model in its range when it takes the wraps off the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale at the Paris International Motor Show in October (2-17 October 2010).

Inspired by the motorsport versions of the GranTurismo, the Trofeo GranTurismo MC and the race-winning GranTurismo GT4, the two-seater Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will feature razor-sharp handling and will be able to break the 300kmh barrier where the law permits.

The GranTurismo MC Stradale responds to demands for a GranTurismo which can balance on-road driving needs with race-driving desires, incorporating the handling and aerodynamic lessons from Maserati’s three racing programs.

The GranTurismo MC Stradale produces more aerodynamic down force without producing more aerodynamic drag, it produces more power – 336kw, 450 hp – without using more fuel and it is more agile without sacrificing the GranTurismo S’s highly praised ride quality.

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will go on sale in Europe in early 2011 before an Australian and New Zealand launch in the third quarter of 2011, when local prices and specifications will be announced.
