Audi Centre Canberra acknowledged for excellence

Audi Centre Canberra

The Audi Mark of Excellence awards were held earlier this month and Audi Centre Canberra was named the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year for 2009. This is the third major award for the Canberra dealership after winning the Provincial category for 2007 and 2008. Audi Centre Canberra happens to be my local dealership and after adding one sale to their tally last year I can say that Richard and his team do a great job servicing the Canberra region.

Audi Centre Townsville took out the Provincial award for 2009, a great boon for the dealership after opening a new showroom just over 12 months ago.

Further details after the jump.

Audi Australia Honours Top Dealer Performance

  • 2009 ‘Audi Mark of Excellence’ awards recognise top-performing dealers
  • Audi Centre Canberra wins Metropolitan dealer of the year
  • New Audi Centre Townsville wins the top award in the Provincial category

Audi Australia has recognised the top performing dealerships of 2009 with its annual ‘Audi Mark of Excellence Awards’, presented at a gala dinner this month.

Audi Centre Canberra was awarded Metropolitan Dealer of the Year 2009, after winning the top Provincial award in both 2007 and 2008. The dealership became a fully-fledged metropolitan operation in 2009, and nevertheless Dealer Principal, Richard Rolfe, together with his team showed clear determination to stay in the number one position, and were awarded their third Mark of Excellence gong in 2009.

Audi Centre Townsville was awarded 2009 Provincial Dealer of the Year for the first time. Dealer Principal, Jason Collins, opened his brand new $2 million Audi showroom facility in March 2009, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to the growth of the brand’s sales and image in Townsville.

Audi Australia’s incoming managing director, Mr Uwe Hagen, presented the trophies, congratulating the winning dealerships, along with all Audi dealers who displayed excellence in dealership performance and professionalism across all areas of the business from sales to after-sales.

“The annual Audi Mark of Excellence Awards are our way of recognizing top performance within our network. Our dealerships are our frontline to the customer, and therefore as a premium brand, it is essential that we are all striving to offer the best customer experience possible,” Mr Hagen said.

“The entire Audi network prides itself on its culture of high performance, and clearly our sales success in Australia supports this focus.”

Audi’s general manager of sales, Andrew Doyle, says the Mark of Excellence awards aren’t a popularity contest, or an award for the most sales.

“They are designed to recognise and reward the dealership that performs the best in relation to targets across the board in the areas of sales, aftersales, customer satisfaction and, as Audi continues to grow in Australia, dealership facilities are also a focus as they need to reflect excellence within the industry,” said Mr Doyle.

The annual Audi Mark of Excellence Awards recognises the contribution of all Audi dealerships, following the company’s achievement of its fifth successive year of growth in 2009.

Targeting its sixth record year in 2010, the brand is already performing well, finishing it’s first sales quarter with an all-time record of 3,713 unit sales. The exceptional result, up 36% compared with 2009, represents more cars delivered to customers in the first three months of 2010, than its total 2004 sales.
