A copy of a dealer bulletin for the 250kW 1M Coupé, produced by BMW Australia, has arrived at AUSmotive HQ. We thought it was only fair to share it with you and a screen grab of the email is shown in full after the break.
Included in the bulletin is the standard specification and options pricing for the entry-level M model. The official list price is not included in the email, however we understand BMW will price the 1M Coupé from $99,900 (plus delivery and statutory charges).
We expect BMW Australia to announce a limited run of 100 1M Coupés for local sale.
According to the email BMW Australia has kitted out the 1M Coupé with a comprehensive list of standard goodies. Just a handful of the included standard equipment reads Professional Navigation, Adaptive Headlights, harman/kardon Surround Sound, Voice Control and Internet.
The most notable item on the options list is metallic paint which will apply to two of three colours in the 1M palette. Only Alpine White is a no-cost option, while Valencia Orange and Black Sapphrie will attract a $1700 charge.
It looks like Audi will be giving BMW a free kick by not bringing in its comparable RS3, is BMW’s $100K price tag low enough to allow them to kick a few goals?

I just got an email with the above – but said they were working on a OTR price of 108k. Which doesn’t fit with the 99,990 price tag.
They also said 200 cars to oz til the end of the year?
That’s interesting Dave, thanks. I think they’re planning to release the info officially on Friday, so we’ll see then. 200 cars would be great!
no hole in da roof??
could be $115k easily with a few optiosn i’d rather a 2nd hando M3
Dave, 99.9k does fit with OTR price of 108k…
As for the numbers, BMW AG have changed their minds so many times with production numbers that I wouldn’t be relying on anything we hear out there.
If it does actually retail for 100k, colour me impressed, I honestly would have expected it to be priced closer to the 120-130k mark.
All the options are kind of unnecessary too, just take it in white with black wheels.
Audi already have the TT-RS, don’t really need the RS3 to compete with this.
NOT being limited is a shame, sorry for being greedy but…. this was one of the key drivers for me putting down a deposit!
I thought 99.9K would mean stamp is 5K (5%), LCT is 14K (approx 42K over threshold), and you still have dealer delivery (~3K)… which would make it close to 120! I would like to be mistaken though!
From what I understand the $99,900 figure is the manufacturer’s list price, so includes GST & LCT, but not delivery, rego etc.
Twin turbo 6, 250kw 0-100 4.9 secs?
Would have expected 4.6, anyhow its priced well.
awd gives 0.3 second advantage. get the ttrs, it’s faster.
$40K premium for .3 sec humm.
TTRS is FWD with part time AWD, not a proper Quattro.
True, kind of, it’s still a pretty effective set-up, though.
and it’s more stylish than the bmw.
1M 4 seats > TT with 2 seats = practicality and performance
go ahead and put 160kg in the back. your 0-100 will be 6.5s
