Fancy a free ride at Targa Tasmania?

Mazda3 MPS

Mazda Australia has just launched a competition offering free entry at the wheel of a 3 MPS at this year’s Targa Tasmania. You’ll need to check out the Mazda Motorsport website for full details, but, the deal is you and a mate get entry into the Targa Tour (Saturday 1 May – Sunday 2 May).

The Tour can be entered by anyone in pretty much any road legal car and allows regular drivers to tackle the demanding Targa Tasmania course with the safety of closed roads and no oncoming traffic. Sounds good, huh.

Mazda’s competition is now open and entries must be lodged by 1 April 2010. The winner will be notified on 6 April.

There’s a press release below from Mazda, but if you can’t be bothered with that then just CLICK HERE!

Win a Drive in Targa in a Mazda3 MPS Via New Mazda Motorsport Site

Just by visiting the new home of Mazda Motorsport at www.mazdamotorsport.com.au one lucky punter could win the opportunity to drive a Mazda3 MPS over some of the world’s best driving roads in this year’s Targa Tasmania Tour.

The Mazda Motorsport Australia website is the new online hub for all things Mazda and motorsport, featuring news, images and video on Mazda’s racing not just in Australia but all across the globe.

The site will also host regular updates via news articles, video, images and Twitter on Mazda’s two-pronged turbo attack on this year’s Targa from April 27-May 2. Flying the flag for Mazda at Targa will be Steve Glenney in a Mazda RX-8 SP and Brendan Reeves in a New Generation Mazda3 MPS.

To help kick off the new site, Mazda is offering one motoring enthusiast and a friend the opportunity to win a two-day drive in the Targa Tasmania Tour in a turbocharged Mazda3 MPS. This non-competitive Targa category travels over exactly the same roads as the competition cars but at the head of the field.

Just by logging onto the site before April 1 and describing in 25 words or less what their ultimate driving experience would be like in a Mazda3 MPS, that person and a friend could find themselves a part of what is considered one of the world’s toughest and most picturesque tarmac rallies.

The Targa Tour prize pack includes:

  • Driving entry into the Targa Tour on Saturday 1 May and Sunday 2 May
  • Mazda3 MPS for duration of Targa Tour participation
  • Exclusive VIP behind the scenes access to the Targa Tasmania command centre and finish marquee
  • Three nights accommodation, flights, transfers and meals
