In yet another case of art imitating life, or in this case life imitating art, the GTbyCITROËN will be on show at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This crazy, angular looking behemoth was originally created for the latest iteration of Sony’s iconic PlayStation game, Gran Turismo 5. Now, Citroën’s latest GT has come to life as this recent appearance on the streets of London shows.
In addition, the GTbyCITROËN is scheduled to make five runs up the famous Goodwood hill climb course during the event, with the first run planned for Friday morning (UK time).
Five-time FIA World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb, will also be on show attacking the hill climb in his C4 WRC on Saturday morning. Along with Dani Sordo, Loeb will also make a number of runs through the purpose-built Forest Rally Stage.

CITROËN AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED: FINAL DETAILS
With only a few days to go, final details relating to Citroën’s attendance at the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed (3rd -5th July), are as follows:
Following its recent high profile outing in London (see clip above), the stunning GTbyCITROËN supercar concept is scheduled to make its first run up the 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill shortly after 9.00am on Friday 3rd July. GTbyCITROËN will tackle the hill again a further 5 times during the festival weekend as part of the Supercar Run – full details in the official programme.
Five-time FIA World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb, will make his debut on the famous hill climb in his C4 WRC on Saturday morning, with a second run that afternoon. He will also make a number of runs through the purpose-built Forest Rally Stage and, if time allows, Sébastien will sign autographs on the main Citroën stand (located just in front of the FoS-Tech Pavilion in the Exhibition stand area).
In addition, Citroën has confirmed that Dani Sordo (former Junior WRC Champion) – who is currently running 3rd in the WRC rankings – will be driving on Sunday 5th July. Dani will attack the hill twice and will be dancing around the Forest Rally Stage at regular intervals.
The Citroën C4 WRC car will be on display in the dedicated World Rally Championship paddock, located near the main Formula One paddock area. And the main Citroën stand will feature a custom-built C6 Pallas – created by designer Darren Horton – the new C5 Saloon, the award winning new C3 Picasso and a Special Edition C4 by Loeb.
Also making its Goodwood debut – in the FoS-Tech Pavilion itself – Citroën will show the truly ground breaking C-Cactus concept. With its ultra-green environmental credentials, the amazing C-Cactus is currently being evaluated for possible future production.
