The Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG – Pricing Announced
Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific has announced pricing for the A 45 AMG, the new high-performance vehicle for the compact class. The first four-cylinder vehicle from Mercedes-AMG sees the performance brand embarking on a new era and represents a dynamic proposition for a new target group.
“The A 45 AMG is set to revolutionise the performance car market and continues the success story of AMG products in our marketâ€, said Mr Horst Von Sanden, Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia/Pacific. “The A 45 AMG delivers not only cutting-edge technology, but also a thrilling driving experience. This is high-performance AMG personifiedâ€
The Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG contains the most powerful series production four-cylinder engine in the world, delivering a maximum output of 265kW and up to 450Nm of torque. The 2.0L turbocharged engine in combination with the performance oriented AMG 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive system as standard, leads to extremely dynamic performance: the A 45 AMG accelerates from 0 – 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds, while its top speed is 270 km/h (electronically limited).
It succeeds in uniting excellent comfort and high-quality equipment with a distinctly sporty flair. A host of exceptional features come standard on the A 45 AMG including: 19†wheels, AMG Performance Exhaust, COMAND Online, Intelligent Light System, Panoramic Roof and AMG Performance Seats with Electric Memory Function.
The A 45 AMG will also arrive with a host of standard safety equipment such as DISTRONIC PLUS and Blind Spot & Lane Keep Assist driver assistance systems.
The new A 45 AMG will be on sale to customers in Australia in September 2013. Sale price will be as follows:
- $74,900 AUD (MRLP)*
*MRLP excludes on-road costs and dealer delivery. For drive away price information, consumers should contact Mercedes-Benz dealers.
Specific details regarding the A 45 AMG will be announced closer to the vehicles launch in September.

Bargain!
Money down. Can’t wait.
For a person that hasn’t ever considered a Merc, I really like this car!
Can we put depost down for one now?
@ Slyone, I know of a few who have already.
Ordered A45 9 weeks ago but now no Motorshow to see what I’m buying. Cost of extras will be interesting.
@ Clovis
Not if you purchase from the right dealer 🙂
$74,900 = on-roads (lets say $90,000 after a few options). CHEAP!!! I might buy 3 of them because they’re so cheap. Can’t wait till we are paying over $100,000 for a performance hot hatch, only then will I be happy.
For anyone who has really purchased one. Think of this. Every time you drive buy someone who knows what it is and how much it cost, all they will be thinking is what a total tool wanker you are lol. Be proud in that fact.
@NoCap big chip on those small shoulders. Haters gonna hate.
@ NoCap, take a bex and have a lie down luv, your envy will pass……. 😉
Wow NoCap, [shouldn’t that be CapSideOn?], if only you could improve your appalling english expression, grammar, spelling and sad attitude you might land yourself a better job.
Intresting to see how long it takes the go faster guys to come up with a remap. Great driving a 300kw hot hatch!!
Luv the haters. Agree with Scott Alpine and Clovis. No cap a.k.a dumbass. This car is great value for the money.
