Jason White signalled his intent for the 2011 Targa Tasmania event by setting the quickest time at today’s Prologue in George Town.
The Jason and John White team are the defending champions and also won the rally back in 2005. Their Lamborghini Gallardo was literally and figuratively on fire as the Whites were almost five seconds faster than their nearest competitors, 2009 Targa Tasmania winners Tony Quinn and Naomi Tillett (Nissan GT-R).
A selection of images from “Day 0” at George Town can be seen after the break. The town stages at Targa are often about entertainment and the fire-breathing antics of the Lamborghinis always please the crowd. Also gaining plenty of cheers are the, but many classic Australian V8s as they powerslide around corners.
