Surely they won’t make an RS1 as well?

Audi RS1

Here is a rendering of an Audi RS1 from French website L’Automobile. They say the RS1 will be powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged four cylinder, which will produce around 240bhp (180kW).

However, we’re still only playing with rumours about the development of an S1; nothing official has been announced by Audi. And the whole RS3 saga continues to drag on, as well.

An Audi RS1? Well, I wouldn’t rule it out. But at the rate the RS3 has been developing, perhaps just not in my lifetime!

Is the common trend in magazines and websites? Make continual renderings of supposed upcoming models?

I agree with Richard, such cars only appeal to foolish car nuts like us, you know the ones who read car websites like this haha. In reality, nice concept, but a very small market.

If this means the S1 will have a 1.6l with less power than the RS1, it might actually mean the S1 could be under the 40k mark.
That would be great because anything over 40k has to be special like the RS badge is.
So an affordable S1 will keep the moddo of the affordable Audi A1, and that’s what it’s suppose to be.
There is no way that over 40k

I was going to finish off with;
There is no way that the S1 can justify itself to be more expensive than a Megane RS 250, Golf GTI, Focus XR5, Subaru WRX, Mitsu Lancer Ralliart.

No way in hell!

Nelson, you will be disappointed then. And clearly you aren’t the target Market for Audi. I think you will find that the 1.4 twincharger A1 may be priced at 39.9k (if we are lucky), but S1 likely to be $50k+.
