Wow, I didn’t ever see the day where Shane Warne would feature on AUSmotive, but the Herald Sun is reporting that Warney is set to host a revamped version of Top Gear Australia which would move from current broadcaster SBS and air on Channel Nine. Details are sketchy at the moment, although it is reported that a deal for a six episode series is expected to be signed off in days.
Watch this space!

I just vomited, violently.
GTFO Warney! Go back to your ashes poker tour.. sheesh.
WTF INDEED!!!!
Good idea, sell the show to a commercial network that won’t let anything go to air that might upset an advertiser, put a tool in the hot seat and then wonder why it dies a sudden death like all the other Australian motoring programs…..
Can’t bowl can’t throw
Oh dear! what a total and utter disapointment.
Woohoo!
Bring back Glen Ridge!!!!!
Two Words.
Richard.
Wilkins.
nah, Richard Wilkins already hosts Keynotes
I thought that there was going to be a new character along the lines of ‘The Stig’ in the UK – Top Gear were going to pilot Warnie here in Australia as ‘The Stooge’.
That is a terrible choice Top Gear! Hey he may prove us all wrong.
So let’s see who you guys think would be the ideal host for Top Gear Oz. My vote goes to Sam Newman. He is an idiot, but he actually has the perfect personality for this and he is obviously a car nut and even races.
I’d like to see Sammy Newman over Warney… I think you are on to something there Wayne!! Hahaha!
Top Gear Aus + Shane Warne + Channel 9 + airing at 3:00pm on a Sunday afternoon + infomercial ads in between – Now that’s a recipe for success!!!
RIP Top Gear Australia
THE HORROR!!
*someone pinch me…this must be a nightmare*
